Google Apps Suite of tools include:

Google Mail- Gmail for education offers 25 GB of storage per user, powerful spam filtering and integrated voice/video conferencing.  All hosted by Google – there's no cost, and no ads for students, faculty or staff.

Google Calendar- Google Calendar enables users to easily schedule meetings, share event calendars, and stay organized. 

Google Drive- Google Drive is your place to keep single up-to-date versions of all of your files online.

Google Docs- Web-based documents, spreadsheets, drawings and presentations that let users edit the same file at the same time so you always have the latest version.

Google Groups- Google Groups allows users to set up their own mailing lists, and easily share docs, sites, and calendars with colleagues.

Google Sites- Google Sites is an easy way to create web pages for intranets or class projects. You control what's public, and what's private. No coding or HTML required.

  • Google + Tips Google+ and the Hangouts are an effective tool for communicating across the agency (or across the office).  As I wait for the next major snow storm, it is nice to know that I don't have to worry about traveling on Friday, as my group is planning on using Google+ Hangouts to hold our meeting.
